MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – (Friday, March 20, 2026)-The boil water advisory has been lifted for impacted Berkeley County Water & Sanitation customers and others around the area impacted by Monday’s water main break.
Berkeley County has been notified by Santee Cooper that the second water test results from Friday morning (like the first results from Thursday) have also passed state safety requirements.
Impacted customers no longer need to boil their water as a safety precaution. Water is now safe to drink, cook with, and use.
Our BCWS team will also directly notify impacted BCWS customers about the advisory lift.
Berkeley County appreciates the public’s patience and understanding throughout this unexpected event.
