Convenience Center Rules

We value the safety of our employees and you, our customer!
Please adhere to these rules when visiting our convenience centers and the landfill

  • Berkeley County residential waste only
  • No scavenging
  • Pick-up sized vehicles ONLY- larger vehicles MUST use the landfill
  • Trailers or box trucks larger than 12 feet must use the landfill
  • Customers are responsible for unloading and placing waste in the proper containers
  • No loitering
  • Shoes must be worn at all times
  • Children must be attended to at all times
  • Special Waste Disposal must be coordinated with landfill staff and take place at the landfill
  • Maximum waste accepted at the Convenience Center site is a half ton – the half ton is considered to be approximately a pick-up load or one 12′ double axle trailer load
  • Police have jurisdiction at all convenience center sites
  • A valid ID is required at ALL Berkeley County convenience center sites and ID’s will be checked.
  • Berkeley County convenience centers are for Berkeley County citizens only, for residential waste only.
  • Commercial waste will not be accepted at convenience center locations (Berkeley County Landfill accepts commercial waste).
  • Residents must show a photo ID, Driver’s License, Passport or Military ID to use Berkeley County convenience centers.
  • Combinations of pick-up and trailer loads are allowed
  • Recycling is encouraged – please use the containers provided
