This page offers detailed information on the operating hours and closure dates for our convenience centers. We also provide drop sites that are accessible to the public 24/7, giving you flexible recycling options at any time. The tables below clearly specify which items can and cannot be recycled at each location, making it easy to determine the proper disposal site. For additional resources, you may visit the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) at https://des.sc.gov/community/recycling-waste-reduction.

County Partners with RePower South (RPS) Processing and Recycling Facility
This facility, located on the County Landfill property, began operations in April 2019. RePower South (RPS) extracts recyclable materials from the trash to produce commodities and renewable fuel. Berkeley County residents do not need to separate recyclables from their trash, as RPS handles all the sorting. For more information, visit RePower South.
