The BCWS Engineering Department is responsible for reviewing and approving all new private development projects, as well as overseeing Capital Improvement Projects that extend water and sewer services throughout Berkeley County.
Our Engineers ensure that all project plans comply with BCWS and SCDHEC guidelines and specifications. For every project reviewed and approved, we strive to certify that the materials used are safe, effective, and capable of delivering quality service for decades to come.
Our Engineer Technicians monitor and inspect new construction, conduct warranty inspections, and provide field support as needed.
Additionally, our GIS Technician maintains and updates GIS layers as changes occur, while also offering innovative GIS services such as accurate maps, technical support, and digital data.
