Engineering
The BCWS Engineering Department is in charge of reviewing and approving all new private development projects as well as the Capital Improvement Projects that extend water and sewer service throughout Berkeley County.
Our Engineers make sure that all the plans are within BCWS and SCDHEC guidelines and specifications. With each project that is reviewed and approved, we endeavor to certify that the materials used in each project are safe, effective and will deliver quality service for decades to come.
Our Engineer Technicians monitor and inspect new construction and perform warranty inspections as well as provide field support when required.
Our GIS Technician updates existing GIS layers as changes occur and provides innovative GIS services such as accurate maps, technical support, and digital data.
