PUBLIC NOTICE in lieu of meeting due to Coronavirus Date:  April 7 2020 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program:

Berkeley County Water & Sanitation, Berkeley County, Pump Station 106 Improvements; SRF Project #496-26.  To all interested parties:  this is notification that Berkeley County is required, as condition of the loan program to post this notice for this project.  In lieu of a special meeting, this notice may be posted on their website and where agendas and Council notices are posted, to discuss this project, which is open to the public.  The project includes the installation of a new 3,800 GPM pump station, 16,100 LF of 24-inch force main, 260 LF of 36-inch, 1,175 LF of 30-inch gravity main, 2,740 LF of 15-inch gravity main, 19 manholes, and associated appurtenances.  The project is located along Old Hwy 52, Cypress Gardens Road, and Hwy 52 in Moncks Corner, SC 29461.  The estimated cost is $9,100,000. This project diverts flow from the Lower Berkeley County WWTP to the BCWS Central Berkeley WWTP to free up capacity at the Lower plant. Berkeley County will finance the project with a loan from the SRF Loan Program with any remaining costs, if any, paid for with local funds.  There are no environmental impacts expected as part of this project. PUBLIC NOTICE in lieu of meeting due to Coronavirus Date:  April 7 2020 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program:

Berkeley County Water & Sanitation, Berkeley County, Whitesville Water Project SRF Project #0820008-10.  To all interested parties:  this is notification that Berkeley County is required, as condition of the loan program to post this notice for this project.  In lieu of a special meeting, this notice may be posted on their website and where agendas and Council notices are posted, to discuss this project, which is open to the public.  The project includes the installation of a new 16” water main along Black Tom Road in Moncks Corner, a new water tower on Black Tom Road, the abandonment of the existing Whitesville Water Tower. The project is located along Black Tom Road from Hwy 176 to Hwy 17-A in the Moncks Corner, SC 29461 area.  The estimated cost is $11,000,000. This project is needed to provide necessary storage capacity of the water system and to adequately provide needed water capacity to maintain proper pressure in the system and fire protection. Berkeley County will finance the project with a loan from the SRF Loan Program with any remaining costs, if any, paid for with local funds.  There are no environmental impacts expected as part of this project. PUBLIC NOTICE in lieu of meeting due to Coronavirus Date:  April 7 2020 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program:

Berkeley County Water & Sanitation, Berkeley County, Force Main Replacement; SRF Project #496-27.  To all interested parties:  this is notification that Berkeley County is required, as condition of the loan program to post this notice for this project.  In lieu of a special meeting, this notice may be posted on their website and where agendas and Council notices are posted, to discuss this project, which is open to the public.  The project includes replacing approximately 9,300 feet of failing ductile iron pipe with PVC pipe in the Goose Creek area located under wetlands, underneath Crowfield Golf Course and underneath residential roads. This line parallels another 18” force main so this line also gives us added redundancy for the existing flow. The estimated cost is $3,500,000. This project is needed due to line failures on the old line. Berkeley County will finance the project with a loan from the SRF Loan Program with any remaining costs, if any, paid for with local funds.  There are no environmental impacts expected as part of this project since BCWS will bore underneath the wetlands. PUBLIC NOTICE in lieu of meeting due to Coronavirus Date:  April 7 2020 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program:

Berkeley County Water & Sanitation, Berkeley County, HWY176 Water Relocation; SRF Project #0820008-09.   To all interested parties:  this is notification that Berkeley County is required, as condition of the loan program to post this notice for this project.  In lieu of a special meeting, this notice may be posted on their website and where agendas and Council notices are posted, to discuss this project, which is open to the public.  The project includes the installation of approximately 21,000 LF of 16” water main and approximately 7,000 LF of 12” water main along HWY 176 between the intersection of 17-A and Sheep Island Road. The estimated cost is $4,300,000. This project is required due to the widening of Hwy 176 by SCDOT. Berkeley County will finance the project with a loan from the SRF Loan Program with any remaining costs, if any, paid for with local funds.  There are no environmental impacts expected as part of this project since BCWS will bore underneath the wetlands.
